Ava Tunnicliffe

Founder & Publicist

Born in London and raised in New York City, Ava Tunnicliffe has 12 years of experience working in both music and media. She graduated from Barnard College in 2016 with a BA in English. Her professional career began with internships at major publications like Teen Vogue, Marie Claire UK and Cosmo UK, and as a freelance writer at Refinery29 and NYLON. With a niche interest in the intersection of music and fashion, she decided to delve further into the world of music and took a PR internship at Republic Records.

She continued to move up the ranks at Republic Records and in 2016 she became a full-time coordinator in the marketing department. During her time there, she worked on marketing initiatives and managed social media for artists like Drake, Post Malone, Noah Kahan, Greta Van Fleet, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande.

Using her wealth of media and music knowledge, Ava started consulting musicians on the side, helping them with social media, marketing, and press. Quickly gaining traction and demand, she decided to risk it all and quit her record label job to start Tallulah PR in in late 2017.

Since founding Tallulah PR, Ava has helped launch the careers of artists like FINNEAS, Anna Shoemaker, ROSIE, Sizzy Rocket, and Fly By Midnight, and handled PR efforts for bloghouse legend Uffie’s return to music. With a passion for working with clients in all phases of their careers, as well as a knack for designing campaigns that think outside the box of traditional PR, Tallulah PR has quickly become as one of the industry’s leading publicity agencies.

Virginia Lackey

PR Intern - Spring 2025

Virginia Lackey is a senior at William Paterson University graduating this spring with a BA in Popular Music with a Music & Entertainment Industries Minor. Being a student at one of Billboards “Top Music Business Schools in the World” has fostered Virginia’s passion for the business-side of music, as have her previously completed internships.

Since as early as she can remember, Virginia has lived for music. At just 5 years old she began singing, and by age 13 she was introduced to former Blue Note Records President and CEO, Bruce Lundvall. Bruce became an incredible mentor and friend to Virginia until his passing, and she will be forever grateful for the invaluable wisdom and knowledge that was shared with her. By the time she was a senior in high school, Virginia had gone on to perform with artists such as Norah Jones, Kenny Rogers, and more. When she got to college, Virginia decided to pursue her passion for the business-side of the music industry and started to take on as many internships as she could while completing her coursework, as well as leading student-run music events on campus, and acting as treasurer for international women's music fraternity SAI, and working as a singer and voice teacher. Virginia will graduate with 5 internships under her belt, and experience working with artist teams like Adele, Camila Cabello, Kacey Musgraves, FKA Twigs, Ellie Goulding, and more.

Virginia is so excited to be ending her college career with an internship at Tallulah PR this Spring, and will be looking for full-time employment as of May 2025.
